Welcome to the section dedicated to the Filipino Warriors RP! This area of the site will go over a guide for how things work in-universe, OOC rules, the warrior code, allegiances, etc. The Discord server for this RP is still a WIP, but will be found here soon.

The Basics

Filipino Warriors is set ambiguously in the Philippines, with territories, names, slang, additional species option, and prey reflecitng this. It is a semi-realistic traditional roleplay, which here is defined as follows:

  • prefixes are meant to reflect a cat's physical apperance (fur color or sometimes body size)
  • suffixes are meant to reflect a cat's skill, appearance, or personality (such as their courage, beauty, or their hunting ability)
  • name-change names are given out of respect, rather than punishment; this is done to honor the cat's ability to survive in regards to an injury. Kits born with disabilities recieve typical-styled name unless they go through an injury.
  • suffixes are based on canon suffixes from the Prophecies Begin, with tweaks and meanings prescribed to them
  • a preference for semi-realistic or realistic settings
  • cats may have some powers, but they are not common and are usually along the lines of powers in the book
  • a focus on world-building, clan culture, and creating realistic dynamics between clans

The Rules

This may seem like a lot, but it boils down to common sense and just being polite!

  1. All members of the server must be 13+ in body. System littles may interact in the server, but we are not babysitters.
  2. Please use proper grammar and spelling when role-playing. In out of character areas, you may talk more casually.
  3. No mature content. No racism, sexism, queerphobia/LGBT+phobia, anti-endogenic system, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory statements. This is a no discourse zone. This includes, but is not limited to: queer discourse, ship discourse/fandom discourse, and system discourse.
  4. Please try to keep descriptions of violence to about the same level as in the Warriors book series. PG-13 or lower.
  5. You must warn people if something commonly triggering is going to appear in a thread. If the thread starts light and you want to join it and make it heavy, ask permission first. If a thread becomes heavy, the OP must edit their post to indicate the new CWs.
  6. Do not post multiple times in a row while role-playing. Edit your previous post instead. You may multi-line in out of character zones, but do not spam.
  7. Do not use PluralKit to role play, it is for serious and out of character usage only. Do not use it to meme.
  8. You may have up to 3 characters at first. Additional characters can be purchased with the server currency in the ⁠shop. Characters should not be played until they are approved by a Staff member. Please give 24 - 48 hours to the Staff to read over your application.
    • Do your best to create a well-rounded character! This means try to give them flaws and strengths, motivations, and character growth from their experiences. If your character is going to have a traumatic past, you should do your research on how to portray it accurately.
    • You cannot create a character as a queen or as a lone kit. Apprentices must be under a year old when created. Litters must have at least one thread between the two parents before being applied for. See the guidebook for information on litters, as well as how apprentices earn warrior-ship.
    • LGBT+ and queer characters are allowed. Please take this seriously and do your research. The official term for nonbinary cats is "en-cat(s)", short for "nonbinary cat(s)". Mentally ill and neurodivergent characters are also allowed, but Staff may ask you some additional questions before accepting or rejecting the application to ensure you know what you're doing. Same with physically disabled cats.
    • Names should match the traditional naming system used by the role-play group, please see ⁠here. Kittypets, rogues, and loners do not need to follow this naming system. Appearances should be semi-realistic, meaning that we allow most real cat colors. See here for more information.
  9. Activity checks will be held every 6 months to clear out unused characters. High positions are expected to be active at least weekly.
  10. Characters are aged up every 1 real life month by 2 months. Age-ups will be announced by Staff. We use liquid time, so your character can be in multiple threads at once. Try to keep a loose time line in your mind.
  11. You must have 100 words minimum per IC post, and it is preferred you use third person and past tense. First person and present tense are allowed, but may be confusing. No god-modding, meta-gaming, auto-hitting, or power-playing. Meaning, let your character lose sometimes. Don't assume your character hits another player character in a fight. Don't be a one man army.
